Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a site performance engineer to support Sustainability Infrastructure Services (SIS) projects. You will act as a Building Engineering SME, designing energy-conscious plans and guiding energy modeling efforts across design to operation.

The role emphasizes HVAC, energy management, and building automation in large commercial projects. Travel up to 50% is required as you collaborate with CBM and design teams, driving efficiency, life-cycle cost analysis, and KPI

Qualifications

Completion of post-secondary education in engineering; Mechanical Engineering degree, Electrical Engineering degree, or technical diploma is preferred.
Advanced understanding of building HVAC system, energy management, security fire systems, building automation systems and services, operations and maintenance, facility management.

Responsibilities

Participate in design meetings to provide specialized engineering and energy advice.
Review operational site for efficiency opportunities (engineering, energy, operations).
Provide operational support to sites to maintain KPIs.
Incorporate more JCI capabilities into customer solutions and reduce development costs.
Review M&E drawings/submittals for FM compatibility from RFP through operating stages.
Manage energy modeling inputs and collaborate with consultants to develop energy targets.
