Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a qualified engineer to design, configure, and deliver building control systems for HVAC, fire, and low-voltage applications. You will bridge engineering design, programming, and field installation to meet project requirements.

Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Project Management and field teams; contribute to value engineering, system optimization, and ensure on-schedule delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in building automation, HVAC controls or fire systems.
• Knowledge of BACnet or LON protocols.
• Ability to design, configure and deliver building control systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure building control systems, including diagrams and schematics.
• Develop, test and implement software for control systems per project requirements.
• Select hardware designs and ensure system integration.
• Coordinate drawings, schedules and submittal documentation.
• Support commissioning and field execution, load controllers and troubleshoot issues.
• Incorporate field changes into as-built drawings and documentation.
• Assist with site-specific training for customers and end users.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress and issues.
• Perform value engineering to optimize costs and ensure quality and safety.
