Job summary

OPmobility is seeking a Production Team Member to support Front End Modules and ensure safety, quality and timely delivery in a Just-In-Time / Just-In-Sequence manufacturing environment at our Windsor facility.

Responsibilities

• Produce Front End Modules in line with Work Instructions while ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery in the Just-In-Time / Just-In-Sequence production environment.
• Perform daily production tasks to meet in-time, in-sequence delivery to customers.
• Inspect parts during assembly and check for defects.
• Follow Work Instructions at each station and perform assigned tasks.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors regarding Safety, Quality and Production.
• Participate in problem resolution to obtain prompt results and root causes.
• Follow rotation schedules as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Contribute to a safety-oriented work environment and report any hazards.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures and Rules of conduct; wear PPE as required.
• Report equipment defects that may endanger workers to the Supervisor.
• Execute quality alerts and deviations in assembly and maintain 5S & HBPO Windsor facility standards.
• Support the launch of ISO 45001 and ISP 50001 and other CSR commitments.
• Assist with diverse duties as assigned to support operations.

Hourly Rate in alliance with the collective agreement $22.72

• It is the responsibility of the Production Team Member to produce Front End Modules consistent with the proper Work Instructions and to ensure that safety, quality and delivery are met for our Just-In-Time / Just-In-Sequence production environment.
• Daily Production requirements to ensure in time, in sequence delivery to our Customer.
• Inspection of parts as they are being assembled, inspecting for part defects.
• Perform production tasks at each station in accordance with the approved Work Instruction.
• Communication with all team members and supervisors as it relates to Safety, Quality and Production.
• Participate in problem resolution to ensure prompt results.
• Follow rotation schedules as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Participating in creating a safety oriented work environment.
• Ensure conformance to all company and legislative policies and procedure and Rules of conduct.
• Use or wear PPE as required.
• Report defects in equipment which may endanger a worker to the Supervisor.
• Perform assigned work as per Work Instructions.
• Ensure Quality Alerts and deviations are adhered to when performing assembly.
• Ensure 5s & Respect HBPO's Windsor facility.
• Environmental Management
• WCM - Duties as assigned
• Ensuring compliance to and participate in IATF 16949 and CSR (Customer Specific Requirements) compliance & ISO 14001 certification
• Has the ability to stop production, upon notifying the Supervisor for quality related nonconforming matters requiring immediate repair
• Has the ability to stop production, upon notifying the plant manager for Safety Related matters requiring immediate attention
• Supporting the launch of ISO 450001 and ISP 50001
• Other duties as assigned.
