We are actively seeking a Site Manager to join our team in Kitchener, Ontario. In this role, you will oversee operations for a single project, ensuring that field activities are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget. This is your opportunity to lead a dedicated team, collaborate with industry experts, and contribute to projects that matter.

Key Responsibilities: Field Operations Planning:
  • Develop field execution methods and procedures in collaboration with project engineering.

  • Plan and supervise field operations, including estimates, schedules, and execution strategies.

  • Work closely with proposal management to plan field operations and develop estimates.

  • Participate in customer negotiations to align project execution with client expectations.

Field Project Team Supervision:
  • Lead and manage a field project team, including hiring, supervision, and performance management.

  • Oversee day-to-day activities of field personnel and resolve any labour issues that arise.

  • Set goals and objectives for team members and provide performance feedback to Resource Managers.

Field Operations Execution:
  • Implement and manage safety programs to achieve project safety objectives.

  • Ensure all field activities align with project schedules and budgets.

  • Oversee site-specific quality assurance programs to maintain compliance and client satisfaction.

  • Manage and control site materials, tooling, and equipment for efficient operations.

  • Document field delays, negotiate small scope changes, and communicate with project management.

  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of payroll and administrative functions.

Reporting and Communication:
  • Prepare and deliver status, safety, and quality reports to head office and key stakeholders.

  • Ensure time reports and documentation are available promptly for review and analysis.

Customer and Contractor Interface:
  • Attend customer meetings to provide project updates and address concerns.

  • Coordinate site activities with customers and other contractors to maintain smooth project flow.

  • Deliver notices of delays or extra work to customers as required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Technical Diploma or Post-secondary engineering degree (or equivalent experience).

  • 7–10+ years of experience in site management within industrial or construction settings.

  • Knowledge of Candu Nuclear Utilities is highly preferred.

  • Strong project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.

SECURITY CLEARANCE

This role requires the successful candidate to complete the security clearance process. The security clearance process is conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) and may take up to 12 months to complete.

The base salary range for this position in [[Ontario]]at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[89,000]] and $[[139,000]] per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
