Job summary

York is seeking a Site Foreman to support on-site construction activities in Regina, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, budget adherence, and quality. You will lead skilled trades, coordinate subcontractors, and liaise with the project management team.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in a similar role, experience across light industrial and commercial projects, and a proven safety leadership mindset.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role is required.
• Experience working on projects in a variety of sectors – light industrial and commercial
• Leadership for Safety Excellence required
• NCSO is strongly preferred
• Journeyman Carpenter preferred
• Fall protection, AWP and forklift tickets & experience required
• First aid training preferred
• A collaborative and flexible approach
• Ability to work in a fast-paced organization continually meeting deadlines
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to other team members
• Constantly strive to improve company processes and the quality of the finished product

Position Summary

The Site Foreman will support the Site Superintendent in overseeing on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing teams of skilled workers from our trade partners, coordinating subcontractors, enforcing safety regulations, and liaising with the project management team to ensure smooth and efficient site operations. This individual is a hands-on leader with effective
communication and problem-solving skills, who excels in both technical construction knowledge and team management.

Key Responsibilities

Bona Fide Occupational Requirements (BFOR)

• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and safely as part of daily duties.
• The ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain as required by the nature of the work. This includes navigating areas with potential obstacles and varying surfaces.
