Job summary

C&A Group is actively recruiting multiple CNC Machinists for Day and Afternoon shifts in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. This full-time role offers two shift options and opportunities to work with CNC turning, milling, and manual machining in a diverse industrial environment.

Compensation ranges up to $40.00/hr for Day Shift and up to $42.00/hr for Afternoon Shift, with benefits, paid vacation, and RRSP contributions. A strong emphasis on safety and continuous learning is highlighted.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC machining on lathes and milling machines.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret engineering drawings.
• Safety conscious and team oriented.
• Class 5 driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• CNC Programming – Gibbs Cam software and G-code knowledge are assets.
• CNC & Manual Machining – Set-Up & Production – Lathes & Mills.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, charts and tables.
• Operate machine tools such as lathes and milling machines to produce metal parts.
• Produce production runs and/or single parts.

CNC Machinists are required to perform some or all the following duties:

• CNC Programming – Gibbs Cam Software and G code knowledge are assets.
• CNC & Manual Machining – Set-Up & Production – Lathes & Mills.
• Working Knowledge of Tool Holders, Cutting Tools, Boring Bars, Fixtures, Inserts, and Other Machine Accessories and Components Including Precision Measuring Instruments.
• Repair Machine Tools and Parts.
• Read and Interpret Engineering Drawings, 3D Models, Charts, and Tables.
• Hand skills to fit and assemble Components and Machine Parts to Close Tolerances.
• Operate machine tools such as lathes, and milling machines to produce metal parts.
• Work with various materials i.e., steel, stainless steel, aluminum, plastics, and other materials.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, cutting speed, & feed rate for required operations.
• Able to work accurately, routinely holding .0005" tolerances, and verify accuracy of work against blueprints and specifications.
• Produce production runs and/or single parts.
• Able to make minor edits to programs to improve efficiency and quality.
