Job summary

AAA Canada Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our aerospace manufacturing team. You will set up and operate 3-, 4-, or 5-axis CNC milling centers to produce high-precision aerospace components, reading blueprints, applying GD&T, and inspecting parts to ensure spacing and tolerances are met. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a demanding production environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years CNC machining setup experience.
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing or tight-tolerance machining.
  • Hands-on setup of 3-, 4-, or 5-axis milling centers.
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills.
  • Experience with aluminum and aerospace alloys.
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Set tool offsets and perform tool changes.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our aerospace manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling centers to produce high-precision aerospace components while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform CNC milling machine setups and operate 3-, 4-, or 5-axis machines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
  • Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Set tool offsets, perform tool changes, and verify machine setups.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment.
  • Machine aluminum and aerospace-grade alloys to tight tolerances.
  • Follow setup sheets, SPFs, and aerospace quality requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of CNC machining setup experience.
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing or other tight-tolerance machining environments.
  • Hands-on experience setting up CNC milling centers (not limited to machine operation).
  • Experience with 3-, 4-, or 5-axis CNC machines.
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills.
  • Experience with Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls.
  • Ability to use precision measuring and inspection equipment.
  • Experience machining aluminum and aerospace alloys.
  • Ability to consistently work to tight tolerances.
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and manufacturing documentation.
Shift Options
  • Day Shift: Any 4 days per week, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Night Shift: Any 4 days per week, including weekends, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
