Job summary

Northland Properties seeks a Foreperson to oversee daily site operations in Ontario, ensuring efficient project completion and on-time delivery. You will read blueprints, supervise trades, and manage tools and materials in advance, coordinating crews and enforcing safety standards.

Responsibilities include producing schedules, monitoring attendance, budgeting, and adapting to scope changes while supporting team development and company culture.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a supervisory construction role.
• Strong carpentry, plumbing and electrical knowledge.
• Experience in hotel and restaurant construction and renovations.
• Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.
• Knowledge of OSH guidelines and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations at a worksite to ensure efficient project completion.
• Produce schedules and monitor attendance of the crew.
• Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans, allocating general and daily responsibilities.
• Supervise and train workers and tradespeople.
• Ensure manpower and resources are adequate.
• Interpret plans, blueprints, and sketches.
• Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget.
• Ensure construction work meets established standards and specifications.
• Adapt to changes in project scope, timelines, or requirements, effectively communicating these changes to the project team and adjusting work schedules and plans as needed.
• Review and enforce on-site safety regulations throughout all stages, including reviewing JHA for compliance and safety meetings.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and waste management.
• Support the growth and development of company culture.
• Perform other duties as required.
