Job summary

Schaeffler Aerospace Canada Inc. is seeking a full-time production operator in Ontario. You will set up and operate at least one production process, which may include CNC or manually controlled equipment, and troubleshoot to meet quality standards.

You will read production prints, record data in routers/IMS, train other operators, and maintain 5S in all areas. Education: Grade 12 diploma and mechanical aptitude required; opportunities for advancement and competitive wages.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate at least one production process, which may include CNC or manually controlled equipment.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting to resolve production or process issues and ensure quality.
  • Read and interpret production prints and record data in routers/IMS.
  • Train other operators as needed and maintain 5S in all areas.
  • Collaborate with other departments as required.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate a minimum of one production process, which may include CNC or manually controlled equipment.
  • Perform basic problem solving and troubleshoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards.
  • Responsible for quality
  • Required to perform inspection on own work using precision measuring equipment as provided or directed to assess quality of work.
  • Follow and accurately record data as directed or required in routers, IMS and any other production tracking systems.
  • Required to train other operators as needed.
  • May be required to work in other departments or occasionally to set up a process for others
  • Ability to read and interpret production prints.
  • Requires adequate computer skills to access production procedures to perform the required work.
  • Responsible for excellent housekeeping and maintaining 5S in all areas.
