Job summary

Onsite Sign Group Inc. in Edmonton is seeking an experienced Sign Installer/Service Technician to join our team. The role requires working outdoors and indoors year-round, with travel within Western Canada and occasional weekends or evenings.

Applicants must have a valid Alberta driver’s license, own hand tools, and knowledge of sign installation methods. Fall Arrest and Aerial Platform training current within 3 years is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Alberta driver license with a clean abstract.
• Boom/Crane Truck experience or certification is required.
• Reliable transportation to work and own hand tools.
• Strong computer/tablet/smart phone skills for electronic work orders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
• Must be accountable and reliable and follow safety standards.
• Knowledge of sign installation methods and reading drawings.
• Fall Arrest and Aerial Platform training current within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Install signs with proper fastening techniques and safety compliance.
• Service and troubleshoot signs as needed.
• Perform surveys and submit electronically.
• Operate power or manual tools as required.
• Travel within Western Canada; some weekends/evenings required.
• Attend safety toolbox meetings and complete safety paperwork.
• Maintain company vehicles and report per NSC guidelines.
• Work year-round indoors and outdoors at various heights.

Job description

Onsite Sign Group Inc. is looking for an experienced Sign Installer/Service Technician to join our team in Edmonton.

Please note that only experienced sign installers/technicians will be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

• Sign Installation with the knowledge of proper fastening techniques
• Servicing & troubleshooting signs
• Ability to perform comprehensive surveys and submit electronically
• Use of power and/or manual tools
• Travel will be required within Western Canada, weekends and evenings will be required
• Attend construction safety toolbox meetings & complete all safety paperwork as required for industry standards as required
• Maintain operation vehicles report as per National Safety Code (NSC)
• This role requires working outdoors and indoors year-round and at all heights

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements

• Must have a valid Drivers License & clean current with in 30-day driver abstract (min 5 years history)
• Boom/Crane Truck Experience or Certification required
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Own hand tools required
• Strong computer / tablet /smart phone skills as all work orders are dispatched electronically
• Solid verbal & written communication skills
• Must be able to work alone & as part of a team
• Must be accountable & reliable
• Working knowledge of sign industry and installation methods
• Ability to work at heights above ground safely
• Ability to read & understand drawings related to sign install
• Skilled in the practical applications of mathematics, in relation to measurements & angles
• Training Certs necessary Fall Arrest & Aerial Platform (Current within 3 yrs)

Position is Monday to Friday, with some weekend work required.

Must be able to travel out of town for work when needed

Wage is dependent on experience.
