Job summary

Reliable Staffing is seeking an experienced shunter for our client in Vaughan, ON, to support overnight yard operations.

The shift runs 9:00 PM to 6:30 AM. The role requires 2–3 years of shunter experience, a clean CVOR and background check, and a valid driver’s license. You will move trailers, perform inspections, coordinate with dispatchers, and maintain accurate records while upholding safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Clean Abstract and CVOR and criminal background check required.
• 2-3 years of shunter experience required.
• Good backing skills are an asset.
• Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and yard operations.

Responsibilities

• Move and position trailers, containers, and trucks within the yard as directed.
• Perform regular yard checks to monitor trailer locations.
• Coordinate with dispatchers, drivers, and yard staff to ensure efficient flow of equipment.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of shunt trucks/trailers.
