Job summary

JBS Food Canada ULC in Brooks, AB is seeking a Shunt Truck Driver to join our Brooks facility. You will perform local transportation duties, deliver bulk products to local facilities, and assist with related tasks.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid Class 1 license with a current abstract and at least 2 years of Class 1 driving experience, plus flexibility for shifts. We offer competitive wages and comprehensive benefits including relocation support and on-site clinic.

Responsibilities

Receive and relay information to central dispatcher;
Delivery of bulk products to local facilities;
Assist in a number of associated duties;
Operate and drive straight to transport goods and materials;
Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment;
Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness.

Consisting of four locations - the main processing facility located in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,200 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily; the Head Office and a case ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta; and JBS Ontario, a case ready plant located in Belleville, Ontario. The JBS Canada facility in Brooks has the capacity to produce products ranging from boxed beef primal, ground beef, beef trimmings, beef by-products and hides which are shipped across Canada and worldwide. As a member of the team you will be responsible for a variety of duties including:
