Village Loft, located in North York’s Bayview Village, seeks a personable Bartender to join our events team. You’ll craft drinks with accuracy, showcase knowledge of cocktails, wine, and spirits, and help create memorable guest experiences.

This part-time role offers a base wage of $17.95 per hour plus gratuities. A valid Smart Serve certificate and hospitality experience are required, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Valid Smart Serve certification required.
• Proven experience in event service or hospitality.
• Excellent food and wine knowledge with ability to describe.
• Passion for guest service and creating memorable moments.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain composed under pressure in fast-paced environments.
• Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsabilités

• Craft high-quality drinks with consistency, speed, and attention to detail.
• Warmly welcome guests, creating an engaging first impression.
• Maintain situational awareness and support team flow.
• Offer recommendations on cocktails, wine, and beer with menu knowledge.
• Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management for smooth service.
• Ensure accurate order-taking, manage tabs, and handle inventory readiness.
• Provide personalized service for special occasions and dietary needs.
• Maintain bar organization and cleanliness; assist with stock checks.
