Job summary

Retailogists is seeking a Shopify Developer to take ownership of complex, client-facing e-commerce builds and migrations. You will own Shopify projects—headless and native—collaborating with engineering and consulting teams to deliver best-in-class retail experiences.

You will architect storefronts, drive delivery from scoping to launch, and build custom apps and integrations to meet business needs. Strong back-end skills and GenAI workflow experience are valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Shopify development experience with a strong portfolio.
• Deep expertise in Liquid, Shopify CLI, Theme OS 2.0, Metafields, and the Storefront/Admin APIs.
• Experience with headless Shopify implementations (Hydrogen, React/Next.js frontends).
• Strong back-end chops — Node.js and REST/GraphQL APIs, plus third-party integrations.
• Solid Git workflow experience (branching, PRs, code review).
• Experience with GenAI augmented engineering workflows (Claude, Cursor, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills—interfaces with clients and cross-functional teams regularly.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop sophisticated Shopify storefronts, both headless and native.
• Own technical delivery on client e-commerce projects from scoping through launch.
• Build custom Shopify apps, integrations, and theme components.
• Collaborate with designers, PMs, and clients to translate requirements into experiences.
• Follow and improve best practices around code quality, testing, lifecycles, and QA.
• Integrate third-party platforms and APIs (ERP, PIM, OMS, loyalty, marketing tools).
• Contribute to the development of internal products.
