Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Shop Technician Level 1 to support facility operations and equipment maintenance. You will keep the work area clean, assist in yard upkeep, and help inspect, repair and maintain RCD equipment while documenting with SiteDocs.

Qualifications include 1–2 years in a shop, valid driver’s license, and certifications such as First Aid, Fall arrest, and Forklift, plus strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years' experience working in a shop environment.
• Mechanically inclined with practical knowledge and skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean abstract
• First Aid certification

• Forklift certification
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of maintenance processes and procedures, mechanical tools and equipment.
• Able to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines requiring minimal supervision.

• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Maintain company issued tools and develop knowledge and skill in their use.
• Assist Shop Foreman with day-to-day tasks as required.
• Assist Operations team with RCD equipment maintenance as required.
