Job Description: Shop Packers & Shop Sanders– FULLTIME, Kemptville, ON

DFC Woodworks Inc. (also known as The Best Adirondack Chair Company & The Best Muskoka Chair Company) is a leading manufacturer of custom high-end outdoor furniture. We ship within Canada and export our products to the USA and Europe.

We have an immediate opening for shop packer/sander

Responsibilities:

• Moves through the production process as volume requires.
• Activities will include product packing, gluing chair parts, routering, and sanding.
• As the employee gains experience, there are opportunities to specialize in specific shop functions and achieve higher income levels.

We operate a comfortable manufacturing plant with an excellent safety record. We have also modified our plant to ensure safe social distancing requirements are maintained.

Requirements:

• Strong ability to quickly understand manufacturing processes with minimal training.
• Ability to operate with minimal supervision.
• Ability to operate as part of a team.
• Fine motor skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Physical capability to work in a manual labor environment – with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• The ability to work with hand power equipment is an asset.

Description of Duties:

• Other activities may include cutting materials, staining, assembly, and inventory stocking.

Required Education:

• While post-secondary education is considered an asset, it is not essential.

Wage:

• $20/hour to $22/hour.
