Job summary

Craftsman Collision in Burnaby, BC is seeking an experienced Shop Manager to lead one of our high-performing collision repair facilities. You will drive daily shop operations, coach a diverse team of technicians, estimators and coordinators, and deliver the exceptional customer experience Craftsman Collision is known for.

The role demands 5+ years in automotive collision repair leadership, strong budgeting and performance management skills, and familiarity with Mitchell, Audatex or ALLDATA.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in automotive, collision repair, or related industries (leadership and customer service experience required).
  • Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of shop operations, budgeting, and performance management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily shop operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and profitability.
  • Provide coaching, direction, and support to a diverse team of technicians, estimators, and coordinators.
  • Champion a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and customer care.

Job description

  • Pay or shift range: $90,000 CAD to $150,000 CAD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

What You'll Do

Lead daily shop operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and profitability.

Provide coaching, direction, and support to a diverse team of technicians, estimators, and coordinators.

Champion a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and customer care.

Manage shop financials, KPIs, payroll, and vendor relationships.

Promote Craftsman Collision in the community and support business development initiatives.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, company policies, and procedures.

What We're Looking For

5+ years of progressive experience in automotive, collision repair, or related industries (leadership and customer service experience required).

Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.

Strong understanding of shop operations, budgeting, and performance management.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of estimating software (Mitchell, Audatex, ALLDATA) and familiarity with ADAS/vehicle calibration systems considered an asset.

Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract.

Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Travel Required

Yes . Occasional travel required within North America for company events.
