Job summary

Craftsman Collision is seeking an Automotive Refinishing Technician to join our team in Canada. The role offers flat-rate wages from $24 to $30 per hour for paint hours, plus production bonuses up to $3/hour. Our shops are busy with plenty of production hours and our company has a strong reputation in the auto body repair industry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting: fill, sand, mask.
• Match colors and mix paints.
• Apply primers, bases, coats per OEM specs.
• Document progress with photos.
• Inspect vehicles for flaws post-bake and after repairs.
• Ensure quality standards in panels and finishes.
• Assist with material tracking and usage.

Job description

We are currently seeking an Automotive Refinishing Technician to join the Craftsman Collision team! We offer competitive flat rate wages at 100% full sheet, ranging from $24 to $30 flat rate for paint hours plus up to an additional $3/h in production bonuses. We are well known in the industry, with an excellent reputation, leading to busy shops with plenty of available production hours for our technicians.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing surfaces for painting by spot filling, sanding and masking;
• Matches colors and mixes paints
• Applies primers, primer surfaces, sealers, base coats, single-stage and clear coats in accordance with manufacturers OEM specifications;
• Documents in progress repairs, including photo documentation;
• Inspects vehicles for flaws after baking and corrects;
• Inspects repaired panels and bodywork to meet quality standards;
• Cleans and polishes painted surfaces and imperfections to meet Craftsman standards;
• Ensures quality control hand off to Autobody Technician is completed;
• Contributes to material usage tracking and consumption.
