Job summary

Ketek Group Inc., with multiple bases in Western and Northern Canada, seeks a Shop Foreman to supervise shop staff, schedule maintenance, and ensure top equipment is available for Rentals and Projects. You will determine tools for tasks, manage safety, and coordinate with internal clients to meet specifications.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, prioritizing work orders, and ensuring inspections and safe operation.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyman certification in related discipline preferred but not required.
• Electrical and mechanical aptitude.
• Basic MS Office skills (Excel, Word).
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and clean driver’s abstract.
• Ability to operate required equipment safely and responsibly.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shop operations and scheduling of maintenance work orders.
• Prioritize resources to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Ensure facilities and safety systems are routinely inspected and maintained.
• Maintain equipment readiness for Rentals and Project teams.
• Identify faulty equipment and coordinate repairs.
• Prepare equipment reports and cost estimates after field returns.
• Liaise with other Ketek departments to facilitate repairs.
• Mentor apprentices and junior staff.
