Summary Of Responsibilities

AULT a company of Alta Equipment Group, is seeking a full-time Shop Foreman for our Waterloo, QC branch. The main responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:

Management

• Plan, organize and supervise daily production activities in the shop.
• Manage and motivate a team of about ten employees to meet deadlines and ensure quality of work.
• Ensure the training and development of shop employees.
• Manage conflicts and disciplinary measures and carry out performance evaluations.
• Collaborate and communicate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Apply and respect occupational health and safety standards.
• Additional tasks, as required.
  
  

Mechanical component

• Inspect and diagnose machine defects and malfunctions.
• Adjust, repair and replace parts and components.
• Perform tests on repaired equipment to ensure that it is working properly.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work on equipment.
• Complete all required reports and forms.
  
  

Skills

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory position in manufacturing or construction.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a mechanical technician.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in the Office Suite.
• Organizational skills, thoroughness and leadership.
• Bilingualism French/English (an asset).
