Job summary

Gexel Telecom International Inc. is seeking a motivated shop foreman in the automotive field to lead a team of technicians and ensure repairs are done correctly and efficiently.

You will supervise assignments, provide technical support, ensure proper billing and maintain high customer satisfaction through strong service performance management.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for a motivated shop foreman who wants to build a solid career in the automotive industry. This person will ensure that repairs are carried out correctly and efficiently by qualified technicians. They will also ensure that the after-sales service consistently maintains a high level of customer satisfaction.

Main duties:

• Understand the terms and conditions of the manufacturer's warranties and policies and ensure compliance;
• Ensure that all repairs are assigned to technicians in an equal and fair manner;
• Provide technical support to technicians as needed;
• Ensure that repairs are billed correctly;
• Check the progress of each repair throughout the day;
• Maintain a high-quality repair service and minimize returns to the shop;
• Perform intermittent checks on work performed to ensure accuracy and quality;
• Test drive cars to verify the quality of the work performed;
• Participate in handling customer complaints in collaboration with your supervisor;
• Participate in service performance management using tools such as daily operations monitoring, efficiency and productivity monitoring, workshop return reports, warranty reports, telephone or email surveys, and monthly forecasts;
• Monitor the condition of the workshop, including

• Ensure proper maintenance, storage, and inventory of special tools;
• Stay abreast of federal, provincial, and municipal regulations affecting occupational health and safety, maintenance work, such as hazardous waste disposal, etc.
