Job summary

Steele Auto Group's ECI Dartmouth is seeking a Shop Foreman to lead a high-performing service team in Dartmouth, NS. You will supervise technicians, manage workflow, and ensure quality repairs while driving productivity and safety.

In this hands-on leadership role, you'll partner with the Service Manager to plan staffing, scheduling, and continuous improvement, while building a collaborative shop culture and delivering top-tier results daily.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Heavy Duty Technician experience including leadership
• Diagnostics and repair of gas and diesel trucks and equipment
• Strong organizational, time-management and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills
• Comfortable using MS Office, DMS systems and technology-based tools

Responsibilities

• Lead the shop floor by supervising technicians and coordinating daily operations to keep work moving efficiently and on schedule
• Assign and prioritize work to ensure quality repairs and on-time completion
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members while promoting safety and best practices
• Monitor workmanship, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement
• Oversee shop workflow, equipment, and maintenance to maintain a safe and organized workplace
• Collaborate with leadership on staffing, planning, and performance, providing hands-on support when needed
