thyssenkrupp Materials CA, Ltd. is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to accurately enter materials into inventory and coordinate shipments.

The role emphasizes organized documentation, handling damaged goods and returns, and serving as the primary contact for inquiries about shipments, orders and stock levels. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience with forklift, packaging, measuring, and strong communication skills, with exposure to SAP and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with plant manager, sales staff, and plant personnel.
• Demonstrates the ability to understand equipment and tolerances from past experience and successful past performance.
• Warehouse experience with forklift, packing and measuring.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; exposure to SAP, ISO standards and lean practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of items shipped and received.
• Oversee safe and reliable packaging of all outgoing shipments.
• Process items for shipment according to guidelines and procedures.
• Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders to determine shipping priorities and methods.
• Review international shipment documentation for compliance.
• Maintain timely, effective communications with internal and external customers and suppliers.
• Responsible for record keeping, filing and administrative duties.
• Follow safety policies and report accidents to supervisor.
• Other duties assigned by Shipping and Receiving Supervisor.

Job SummaryReporting to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accurate entry of materials and goods received into inventory. The ideal person will be informed and organized in documentation of transactions and thrives as a materials coordinator (Shipping, damaged goods, returns).
