Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA is seeking a Quality Control Technician in Canada to ensure raw materials and finished metal products meet customer specifications and drawings through visual and dimensional inspections.

You will inspect materials at various stages, read engineering drawings, review MTRs/COCs, maintain calibration records, and ensure accurate QA data entry while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, metal fabrication, machining, welding, or industrial environment.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and perform dimensional inspections.
  • Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, tape measures, and squares.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect incoming materials, in-process work, and finished metal products.
  • Perform dimensional inspections using calipers, tape measures, gauges, scales, squares, and other measuring tools.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Review Material Test Reports (MTRs), Certificates of Compliance (COCs), and related documentation.

Compensation

$21.75 to $23.00 per hour, based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
