Job summary

ABL Employment Inc in Brantford is seeking a motivated Shipping & Receiving associate to supervise daily operations and ensure smooth freight flow.

You will train and mentor warehouse staff, coordinate dock door assignments, and address delays to maintain on-time shipments.

This position operates Monday to Friday, 4pm–1am with training on the day shift and pays $22 per hour.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Shipping & Receiving associate to work in Brantford.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Shipping & Receiving team.
• Assign dock doors and prioritize workloads to maintain a smooth, bottleneck-free flow of trailers and ocean freight containers.
• Monitor shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate handling of freight.
• Provide hands-on training, coaching, and mentorship to new warehouse employees and equipment operators.
• Act as the primary point of contact on the warehouse floor to address loading delays, pallet quality concerns, and staging discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience operating or overseeing the operation of warehouse equipment.
• Excellent communication and team-building abilities.
