Job summary

Alliance Door Products in Manitoba is seeking a Shipping Associate to join our operations. You will help the Shipping Department complete daily shipping lists, schedule local deliveries, verify packing slips, and gather quotes to secure the best rate and ETA.

This role supports warehouse and production teams, assists with freight claims and tracking, loads and unloads trucks, and handles mouldings, door and hardware packing.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of shipping experience.
• Able to read a tape measure and understand imperial measurements to 1/32.
• Experience with an inventory management system.
• Overtime availability as required.
• Forklift experience is an asset but not required.
• Attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist Shipping Department in completing daily shipping lists.
• Schedule local LTL deliveries and verify pick tickets.
• Generate packing slips and gather quotes for shipments.
• Schedule shipments based on best rate/ETA/carrier.
• Support warehouse and production with freight claims and tracking.
• Load/unload trucks and pack mouldings, interior doors, and hardware.

Position:

Shipping Associate

Duties:

This role is responsible for assisting the Shipping Department in completing daily shipping lists, scheduling local LTL deliveries, verifying pick tickets and generating packing slips, gathering quotes for shipments and then scheduling based off the best rate/ETA/carrier. In addition, supporting other departments (warehouse and production) with freight claims and freight tracking, picking product, loading and unloading trucks, and packing in mouldings, interior door and hardware department.

Shift:

Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm

Compensation (depending on experience):

$18 to $23 per hour

Qualifications

• Two or more years of shipping experience
• Forklift experienced an asset, but not required
• Prior experience working with an inventory management system
• Mathematical aptitude, able to read a tape measure and understand imperial measurements to the 1/32 on an inch
• Physical ability to safely lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with basic shop tools (saws, nail guns, pneumatic tools, and drills)
• Available for overtime as required to complete department requirements
