Job summary

Rosenberg Fans Canada Ltd. in Mississauga, Ontario, is hiring a Shipper and Receiver to ensure efficient handling, inspection, and documentation of materials in a manufacturing setting. You will manage inbound and outbound shipments, verify orders, and maintain accurate inventory records.

The role requires forklift certification, 2–3 years of shipping/receiving experience, and proficiency with ERP/WMS systems. Evening and weekend shifts may be required in a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Forklift certification is a must.
• Basic computer skills and experience with ERP or warehouse management systems.
• Knowledge of shipping procedures, documentation, and inventory control practices.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload receiving and delivery trucks.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading.
• Report and document damaged, missing, or incorrect items.
• Label, tag, and store materials in designated locations.
• Update inventory records in ERP or inventory management systems.
• Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments according to shipping schedules and customer requirements.
• Generate shipping documents including packing slips, bills of lading, invoices, pro forma invoices and custom forms.
• Coordinate shipments with customers, carriers and couriers.
• Ensure shipments are properly packaged to prevent damage.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Assist in identifying shortages, overages, and obsolete inventory.
• Identify components and pick for production orders as required.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse areas.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Follow workplace health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Use proper lifting techniques and PPE.
• Communicate with production, purchasing, and Sales Administration teams regarding material needs and shipment status.
• Assist with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
