Finning Canada is seeking a Shipper/Receiver in Edmonton, AB. The role involves moving equipment, inspecting returns, and accurately picking customer orders with attention to detail and a strong safety mindset.

Role is permanent, located in Edmonton with a 5x2 shift. Starting wage ranges from CAD 27.28 to CAD 30.54 per hour, plus industry-leading benefits and training opportunities paid by Finning.

Qualifications

• Class 5 Driver's License with no restrictions.
• Minimum six months of forklift operating experience.
• Solid mechanical skills for minor repairs.
• Strong organizational skills with good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and oversees loading/unloading of orders and documents per guidelines.
• Inspects equipment and maintains inventory levels; communicates shortages.

• Operates a forklift or related equipment to unload equipment and supplies.
• Performs general warehouse and yard housekeeping.
• Performs additional tasks at general line location as needed.

Position Overview:

Finning - The Cat Rental Store is seeking a Shipper / Receiver in Edmonton, AB. The Shipper Receiver is responsible for all movement of equipment in and out of the branch, including inspection of returned rental equipment and accurately picking new customer orders. You have great attention to detail and believe in providing excellent customer service. You are committed to a safe work environment and are comfortable working in all weather conditions.

Job Description:

• Prepares and oversees the loading and unloading of orders and goods, completes proper documentation as per guidelines
• Inspection of equipment, maintain inventory levels of parts, supplies, materials and communicate shortages or discrepancies.
• Maintains computerized record-keeping system.
• Operating a forklift or other equipment to unload equipment and supplies.
• Performs general housekeeping in warehouse and yard.
• Other related duties as assigned.
• Additional tasks and support at our general line location may be required.

Qualifications:

• Class 5 Drivers License with no restrictions, successful drivers abstract required.
• Minimum six months of operating experience of rough terrain forklift, counterbalance forklift, Large forklift (>30,000 Lbs.) and/or operating construction equipment.
• Solid understanding of rental equipment and possess sufficient mechanical skills to perform and/or recommend minor equipment repairs.
• Strong organizational skills, with good attention to detail.
• Committed to a safe work environment, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Due to physical nature of the work, a requirement of the job is to be considered fit for work.

Important Information:

Role located in Edmonton, AB on a 5x2 Shift (Monday to Friday). Hours and shift schedule may be subject to change to meet customer and/or Finning (Canada) requirements. Please note that any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the current Collective Agreement
