Job summary

Sport Chek in Canada is seeking a reliable Shipper/Receiver to ensure inventory is received and transferred accurately at the store. You will support loading, scanning, and filing paperwork while maintaining safety and organization in the shipping area.

This role is ideal for those with warehouse experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a flexible schedule. Competitive hourly pay ($17.60–$20.00 CAD) plus benefits, incentives, and product discounts.

Qualifications

• Passion for active living and sports.
• Previous retail inventory control or warehouse experience is an asset.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy containers (up to 50lbs).
• Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check (Must be 18+).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Computer literacy is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist in loading and unloading delivery trucks.
• Scan incoming distributions and transfers; maintain shipping logs and paperwork.
• Monitor un-received cartons and transfers; file claims with FGL Claims Dept.
• Sort shipments and distribute product accordingly.
• Transfer stock to other stores as requested.
• Detail received shipments from supply companies.
• Keep shipping/receiving area clean and organized.
• Assist in preparation for physical inventory counts.
• Deliver exceptional customer experience to support team performance targets.

Job Description

As a Shipper/Receiver, your primary responsibility is to ensure that inventory is efficiently and accurately received at, or transferred from the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery trucks
• Scan in all incoming distributions and transfers, maintain shipping logs and file all paperwork
• Monitor all un-received cartons and transfers and place the necessary claims with the FGL Claims Department
• Sort shipments and distribute product accordingly
• Transfer stock to other stores as requested and transfer
• Detail received shipments from supply companies
• Keep shipping/receiving area clean and organized
• Assist in preparation for physical inventory counts
• Deliver exceptional customer experience to support your team in achieving performance targets

Our typical hiring range is between $17.60 and $20.00 per hour. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, store size and market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
