Job summary

Sport Chek in Canada is seeking a Shipper/Receiver to ensure inventories are received or transferred efficiently at the store. You will assist with loading/unloading trucks, scan distributions, maintain logs, and transfer stock between stores.

Role requires ability to lift up to 50lbs, a background check, and a flexible schedule. On-location work with benefits, incentives, and product discounts to support your growth.

Qualifications

• Passion for active, healthy living and sports.
• Previous retail inventory control or warehouse experience is an asset.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs.
• Criminal background check required (18+).

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer experience to support team performance targets.

Job Description

As a Shipper/Receiver, your primary responsibility is to ensure that inventory is efficiently and accurately received at, or transferred from the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery trucks
• Scan in all incoming distributions and transfers, maintain shipping logs and file all paperwork
• Monitor all un-received cartons and transfers and place the necessary claims with the FGL Claims Department
• Sort shipments and distribute product accordingly
• Transfer stock to other stores as requested and transfer
• Detail received shipments from supply companies
• Keep shipping/receiving area clean and organized
• Assist in preparation for physical inventory counts
• Deliver exceptional customer experience to support your team in achieving performance targets

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Passion for active, healthy living and sports
• Previous retail inventory control or warehouse experience is an asset
• Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy containers (up to 50lbs)
• Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check (Must be 18 or older to complete a background check)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Computer literacy is an asset

Our typical hiring range is between $17.60 and $20.00 per hour. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, store size and market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
