Job summary

Multimatic-In in Newmarket, Ontario is seeking a Shipping and Receiving/Warehouse Associate to operate forklifts, pick/pack orders, and manage FIFO inventory. You will stage shipments and ensure accurate, timely deliveries while maintaining safety and cleanliness in the warehouse.

Requirements include three years in automotive shipping/receiving, a valid tow motor license, and proficiency with Excel, MS Office, MRP, and SAP.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift/reach truck safely and efficiently.
• Pick, pack, label, and ship orders per routing/packaging standards.
• Maintain FIFO stock locations and stage shipments for trucks.
• Unload/Receive deliveries and scan to IMS with 100% accuracy.
• Write DMN reports for defective parts and customer returns; follow lot trace system.
• Print daily schedules, picklists, and invoices; ensure accuracy with shipping calendar.
• Participate in physical inventory; comply with OHSA and ISO standards.

Key Responsibilities:Follow and operate Forklift/Reach truck and other warehouse equipment in safe manner.Perform all tasks on time as determined by the Materials supervisor and/or Shipping and receiving supervisor, materials manager, assistant and general managers.Report all health and safety concerns.Report all factors affecting efficiency on daily duties.Fill in all necessary forms and checklists on time as required for each task (i.e. loading form, tow motor checklist, lot forms, and certificate of compliance).Pick, pack, label, secure, and ship all orders by routing and packaging standards to ensure timely delivery.Maintain all stock locations in first in first out basis (FIFO) at all times.Stage shipments for the next truck or the next day as required.Maintain Storage locations and warehouse free of all debris and trash free.Write DMN reports for defective parts, internal and customers return.Follow the internal lot trace system (IMS). Scan to the materials system, and/or write down the lot numbers shipped on the items lot.Deliver material to the work centers as required and scan every material movement in the IMS.Unload/Receive all deliveries and scan them to designated storage location with 100% accuracy.Tag and label all necessary material as required.Participate in all physical inventory activities.Ensure all truck wheels are chocked before loading or unloading.Scan labels for internal purposes and any customers that require scanned labels for ASN.Send advance ship notice to customers (ASN).Print daily schedule at the time of each shipment.Print picklist and items for all customer orders and check against the shipping schedule.Pick all material in FIFO order and complete pick list/items lot.Strap, tape and shrink wrap as necessary for packages and orders.Load trucks with customer orders.Unload customer returnable container and defective part and move them to designated locationsReturn all forms, checklist, picklists and bills to their appropriate trays or file.Use the materials system to enhance all inventory functions.Print and complete bills and invoice as required.Actively participate in team meetings and monthly employees meeting.Follow all departmental and general procedures.Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or Department Manager.Abide by all company safety rules, responsibilities, policies, and procedures including the legislative requirements of the OHSA.Work in compliance and conform to the Environment and ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards.Adopt and practice Kaizen principles; participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities.Basic Requirements:Completion of a high school diploma.Three years shipping and receiving experience in the automotive industry.Possess a valid tow motor license.Proficient computer skills (i.e. Excel, MS Office, MRP, SAP).Self-motivated and able to work under limited supervision.Comprehensive understanding of lot traceability.Possess the ability to work in a very busy environment where changes are constant.Must have material handling experience.Pick and pack orders.Must be a team player.This job posting is for an existing vacancy.
