Job description

Job Summary

The Shipper/Receiver will play an integral role in the safe, timely, and accurate receipt of items ordered and placed in specified areas of the warehouse. You will have to opportunity to work as part of a team and strengthen valuable skills including organization, communication, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Picking, packing and sorting materials for jobs
  • Work effectively with other members, Communicate, and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Receiving and processing warehouse stock products, ensure drivers are welcomed and taken care in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Ensure flow of material is maintained and accurate.
  • Making sure outsiders are following HG warehouse protocols.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, safety and quality.
  • Ensuring timely, accurate and efficient management of the stock receipt process and cycle count process to achieve inventory accuracy; target is +99%.
  • Daily receiving warehouse transactions are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure materials are checked against vendors’ invoice/packing list, bills of lading, customer supplied orders and HG receiving processes and procedures.
  • Ensure material is checked at receiving for compliances to HG requirements, QTY, Specs, conformity, damages.
  • Performing warehouse inventory controls and keeping quality standards internal and external audits.
  • Report any discrepancies.
  • Work with buyers effectively.
  • Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment.
  • Back up when inventory supervisor is absent.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Requirements:

  • Physical:
    • Body positions: Sitting, Standing, and Walking.
    • Body movements: Carrying, Stooping, Lifting and Reaching.
    • Lifting Requirements: Up to 50 pounds.
    • Body senses: The use of all five senses.
  • Mental:
    • Mathematical.
    • Language: The use of the English language, both Oral and Written.
    • Capable of writing clear messages and frequently send emails.
    • High attention to detail
    • Requires daily communication with multiple departments to insure maximum efficiency
  • Mechanical:
    • Work with saw and power tools.
    • Able to work jib crane
    • Valid forklift license
Education & Skills:

  • OSSD High School Diploma or GED required

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in, or working with, manufacturing operations
  • Working knowledge of ERP system.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent attention to detail

Working Conditions:

  • Hours of operation: 2:30pm to 11:00pm
  • Comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and safety procedures.
  • Maintains clean, orderly, and safe work areas always.
  • Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled manufacturing facility
