Job summary

Westech Industrial Ltd. is seeking a reliable Shipper/Receiver to join our growing Service team in Calgary.

You will be responsible for the shipment of goods to customers and receipt of goods from suppliers, coordinating with inside sales, service and manufacturing to ensure timely order processing. The role involves receiving goods, inspecting for conformity, entering data into ERP, storing items properly, and preparing shipments in a cost-effective manner.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
• Motivated, energetic and personable.
• Experience with Microsoft office software and understanding of accounting and ERP systems.
• Forklift training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect goods on arrival and report non-conformances.
• Log received goods into ERP and store in proper locations.
• Prepare shipments, optimize cost and ensure timely delivery of products.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and coordinate with internal teams.

TheShipper/Receiver is responsible for the shipment of all goods to customers as well as the receipt of all goods from Suppliers. They are responsible for their assigned warehouse and the safe storage of received goods and shipment of deliveries; to co-ordinates with inside sales, service and manufacturing to ensure timely processing of all orders.

Summary:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receiving:
  • Compare packing slip to counted received quantity
  • Inspect goods on receipt and report any non-conformances to procurement
  • Receive goods in ERP system
  • Store in proper locations
• Shipping:
  • Prepare goods for safe shipment under most cost-effective manner, balance costs and timeliness of delivery of product
  • Ensure goods allocations per order requirements
  • Partially ship with customer consent
  • Maintain proper records of shipping
• General:
  • Embody and instill in others the company culture and commitment to quality and a safe and healthy workplace for all
