Job Overview

Under the supervision of the Logistics Manager, the Shipper and Receiver performs receiving functions such as accepting raw materials and shipping functions such as staging and loading sales orders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform shipping functions, including picking, staging, and loading sales orders, maintaining proper logs, verifying order accuracy, and ensuring items are shipped without damage. Assist in implementing operating procedures.
2. Follow HACCP processes and procedures; operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, ensure equipment is in working order, oversee warehouse maintenance, and promote safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
3. Receive raw materials, store, stage, and supply production with received raw materials, maintaining accurate logs and ensuring task accuracy.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years manufacturing experience
• Forklift Operator Certification (asset)
• Effective stress management skills
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of health & safety standards
• Quick learner of in-house systems
• Ability to work under deadlines with urgency
• Basic knowledge of HACCP/GMP requirements
• Teamwork skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
