Job summary

Napoleon Group of Companies in Ontario is seeking a Shipper/Receiver to handle RF scanning, packing, and stock movements at 2621 Gore Road, Shanty Bay. This on-site role reports to the Team Leader - Logistics and runs Monday to Friday from 3:30pm to 12:00am, focusing on accurate shipping and receiving processes.

You will use RF scanners, WMS, and TMS to manage shipments, prepare pallets, verify counts, and train temporary staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years in shipping/receiving, forklift cert required.
• Experience with shipping/receiving docs (bills of lading, packing slips, customs).
• TDG certification may be required; internal training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate RF scanners to pick, sort and stack product for shipping.
• Pack and prepare product for shipment; pack/shrink wrap; label containers.
• Use TMS to select proper carrier based on shipment type/size.
• Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies by comparing with records (manifests, invoices).
• Load trucks and protect shipments via proper packaging and labeling.
• Identify damaged product and communicate with appropriate parties.
• Generate packing slips from WMS and document shipments.
• Train temporary staff on wrapping, strapping, quality control, and reworks.
• Receive: unload trucks, count items, store in proper locations, and use RF Scanners.

Title: Shipper/Receiver

Reports to: Team Leader - Logistics

Location: 2621 Gore Road, Shanty Bay, Ontario

Hours: 3:30pm - 12:00am (Monday to Friday)

Job Purpose:

Using RF scanners, pick, pack and prepare stock or product for shipping. Receive parts or product and transport to correct storage location.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

• Shipping: Operate RF hand scanners to pick, sort and stack product on pallets in a manner that efficiently facilitates the packing and shipping of orders.
• Shipping: Prepare product to be shipped out; packing/strapping product (shrink wrap, etc.).
• Shipping: Use Transportation Management System (TMS) to ensure proper carrier is selected based on shipment type/size.
• Shipping: Identify and troubleshoot cycle count and inventory discrepancies (examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices or orders to verify accuracy of shipments).
• Shipping: Properly load trucks (pack, package and label containers or parts to properly identify their destination and ensure their protection during shipment).
• Shipping: Deal with damaged product.
• Shipping: Generate packing slips from Warehouse Management System - WMS (size, weight, carrier, etc.).
• Shipping: Train temporary general laborers on wrapping, strapping, helping with quality control, reworks, etc.
• Receiving: Unload trucks (load, unload, stack and move products and materials by hand or using material handling equipment).
• Receiving: Perform item counts - verify counts based on information on packing slips.
• Receiving: Use WMS to determine where to put items away. Put items away in proper location. Store all received product in the properly designated areas. Escalate to appropriate parties for resolution and/or take action to resolve when storage location discrepancies exist.
• Receiving: Use RF Scanners to manage products.
• Receiving: Ensure documentation is accurately processed and distributed in a timely manner.
• Receiving: Identify damaged product (inspects all incoming trucks according to company guidelines) and communicate to appropriate individual(s).
• Receiving: Identify parts that are not set up properly in system.

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a shipping and receiving role, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. Knowledge of shipping/receiving documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and customs paperwork.
• Must have an existing forklift certification and be able to pass an internal training & testing program. Additional training or certification in logistics, transportation, or supply chain is an asset. Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification may be required for the role. Internal training and certification will be provided if necessary.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, ERP software, RF scanners).
