Job summary

Peterbilt Pacific is seeking a Shipper and Receiver to efficiently move parts, materials, and stock for the dealership. You will ship, receive, record movements and maintain accurate documentation daily.

In this role you will verify incoming goods, prepare packing slips, and coordinate shipments while supporting the Parts department. A valid driver’s license and forklift familiarity are useful assets; strong organization and communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years warehouse experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Problem-solving, negotiating and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver parts to customers and pick up parts for service.
  • Receive shipments and maintain stock in main parts department.
  • Prepare packing slips, invoices and shipping documents; ship items manually or by computer.
  • Assemble containers and crates and record contents for shipment.
  • Oversee loading/unloading of goods from trucks.
  • Verify incoming goods against invoices and report shortages/damages.
  • Unpack, code and route goods to storage areas; update records.
  • May operate forklift or hand truck to move items.
  • Ensure accuracy of packing slips with parts pulled for shipment.
  • Ship core returns and perform other assigned duties.

Responsibilities
  • Delivery of parts to customers
  • Pick-up and deliver parts for service and parts department
  • Receive shipments from carriers
  • Keep bins in main parts department full with overstock from the warehouse area
  • Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare packing slips, customs forms, invoices and other shipping documents manually or by computer
  • Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or in computer system, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions
  • Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and record damaged goods. Report shortages and damages to Parts Manager
  • Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas
  • Maintain internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems
  • May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods
  • Verifies all packing slips with parts pulled to insure product and quantities being shipped are correct
  • Parts returns, PR’s etc. are to be shipped within 1 week of receiving authorization to ship
  • Assemble, check and ship core returns
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years warehouse experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract required
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Strong personal organizational skills as they relate to workload, time management and setting priorities
  • Effective problem solving and negotiating skills
  • Effective conflict resolution skills

Compensation Rate

  • $19.78- $21.98per hour
  • Pay rate will be determined based on previous experience, relevant certifications and skill level
