Job summary
Manitoulin Transport in Whitehorse, Yukon is seeking a warehouse worker to join our trucking company and warehouse team. You will inspect incoming goods, maintain records, supervise loading/unloading, weigh materials, and ensure safe handling of products, including hazardous materials.
A forklift certification and WHMIS/TDG credentials are preferred. This position emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and efficient handling in a fast-paced environment with physical tasks and independent work as part
Qualifications
- No degree, certificate or diploma required.
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience.
- Experience with loading/unloading using material handling equipment.
- Criminal record check may be required.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or documents.
- Maintain internal record-keeping system.
- Record shortages and reject damaged goods.
- Oversee loading and unloading of goods.
- Weigh materials and goods.
- Operate equipment to load, unload and move materials.
- Hazardous products handling and storage.
- Load, unload and move products by hand or with basic equipment.
- Label goods.
