Job description

As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. As a team lead, you will deploy partners and delegate tasks to create the Starbucks Experience for our customers by providing legendary customer service with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. You will be responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles. Additionally, you'll be part of a company that is consistently rated as a great place to work, where the people love what they do.

Summary Of Key Responsibilities
  1. Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote the culture, values, and mission of Starbucks.
  2. Maintain a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events to ensure store standards and set a positive example for the team.
  3. Evaluate environment and customer cues to anticipate needs.
  4. Communicate information to the manager to respond effectively and create a welcoming environment during each shift.
  5. Assist with new partner training by providing positive reinforcement and respectful coaching.
  6. Provide feedback to the store manager on partner performance during the shift.
  7. Contribute to a positive team environment by recognizing morale and performance changes and communicating them to the manager.
  8. Create a positive learning environment with clear, timely, and respectful coaching to ensure operational excellence.
  9. Deliver legendary customer service by acting with a customer-first attitude and engaging with customers.
  10. Discover and respond to customer needs.
  11. Develop positive relationships with the team by understanding individual motivations and concerns.
  12. Execute store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties.
  13. Follow Starbucks policies and procedures, including cash handling and safety/security protocols.
  14. Ensure proper cash management practices are followed by the team.
  15. Follow up with baristas to ensure excellent customer service.
  16. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  17. Provide quality beverages, whole beans, and food products by adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
  18. Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  19. Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments using organizational tools and collaboration.
  20. Use operational tools to achieve excellence during the shift.
Summary Of Experience
