Shift Supervisor - Store# 15557, SOUTHGATE MALL FC

As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will lead the team by delegating tasks and creating the Starbucks Experience for our customers through legendary customer service, prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment. You will model and act in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles, contributing to a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote Starbucks' culture, values, and mission.
  • Maintain composure during high volume or unusual events, ensuring store standards are met and setting a positive example for the team.
  • Evaluate environment and customer cues to anticipate needs.
  • Communicate effectively with the store manager to respond to store needs and create a welcoming environment.
  • Assist in training new partners, providing positive reinforcement and respectful coaching.
  • Provide feedback on partner performance to the store manager.
  • Recognize changes in partner morale and performance, communicating these to management.
  • Provide clear, respectful coaching to partners to ensure operational excellence.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, connecting with customers and responding to their needs.
  • Develop positive relationships with team members, understanding their motivations and concerns.
  • Execute store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties.
  • Follow Starbucks policies on cash handling, safety, and security to ensure safety for all partners.
  • Manage cash registers and practices properly.
  • Coordinate with baristas to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ensure quality beverage, food, and product standards are met.
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Recognize and celebrate team accomplishments, collaborating with management on new recognition methods.
  • Use operational tools effectively to achieve shift goals.
Experience and Skills
  • Customer service experience in retail or restaurant settings.
  • Ability to lead and direct others.
  • Quick learner with effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of retail environment and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork orientation.
