Job summary

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) is seeking an Operations Manager for the Springbrook, AB site. Lead the site management team to achieve operational excellence, improve productivity, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in flour milling.

You will ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality standards while building strong relationships with employees and customers across the P&H Milling division. This is a full-time, on-site leadership role in Canada.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a food manufacturing environment with 3+ years in a management role.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives, Lean methodologies, and problem-solving.
• Knowledge of food manufacturing industry standards, practices, and technologies.
• Proven ability to coach, develop, and lead teams.
• Experience budgeting and operating expense management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

Your Team

P&H Milling: P&H Milling is Canada’s largest Canadian-owned milling company, producing high-quality flour and cereal products for bakeries, food manufacturers, and consumers. From coast to coast, we transform Canadian wheat into trusted products that feed families at home and abroad.

We are seeking an Operations Manager to join our P&H Milling team. This role is responsible for leading and coaching the site management team to achieve operational excellence, optimize productivity and efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting to the National Operations Manager, the successful candidate will ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality/Food Safety standards while leveraging their flour industry expertise to build strong relationships with employees and customers.

Day to Day

• Lead and develop the operations team to drive safety, productivity, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor plant performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health & safety, food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Bring:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years in a management role.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement initiatives, Lean methodologies, and problem-solving.
• Knowledge of food manufacturing industry standards, practices, and technologies.
• Proven ability to coach, develop, and lead teams
• Experience budgeting, and operating expense management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to travel as required
