CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Operator in Canada to maintain small to medium buildings and building systems. The role covers preventive maintenance, repairs, and system monitoring to ensure safe, efficient operation.

You will perform rounds, log readings, and coordinate with contractors while supporting energy efficiency initiatives and safety standards across sites. This position requires flexibility for shifts and on-call duty.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; trade school diploma with 1–2 years' related experience considered
• 4th class Operating Engineer qualification is an asset
• 2–5 years of experience in operation and maintenance of facilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Working knowledge of CMMS and Building Automation System (BAS)
• Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and be on-call
• Authorized to work in Canada without visa sponsorship now or in the future

Responsabilités

• Performs daily rounds and log readings
• Reviews and completes daily entries in engineer's log; investigates issues
• Performs preventive/demand maintenance; records in CMMS; reports changes
• Starts-up/shutdowns building infrastructure equipment
• Maintains energy efficiency; inspects and operates mechanical/electrical systems
• Repairs tasks (plumbing, pumps, breakers, ducts)
• Maintains air handling units; checks filters and bearings
• Conducts water treatment tests and generator tests
• Troubleshoots repairs on building infrastructure equipment
• Escalates unsafe conditions to supervisor
• Responds to tenant requests and emergencies
• Oversees contractors to ensure compliance with contract norms
• Participates in required meetings
• Assists other trades as needed
• Other duties as assigned
