Job summary

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a Shift Operator 4th Class at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in the Western Zone. The role involves operating and maintaining heating, cooling, power and water systems, with a focus on safety and compliance.

Travel to other sites may be required and a reliable vehicle is necessary. The position is permanent full-time (75 hours biweekly) with a competitive hourly wage and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, travel, disability and life

Qualifications

About The Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Engineer & Facility Manager, or designate, the Shift Operator 4th Class contributes to the safe and effective operation of the facilities by providing a full range of services relating to the day-to-day maintenance and project-related activities for the facilities respecting the heating, air conditioning, power and water generation units, general maintenance. The Shift Operator 4th Class ensures all functions are completed in accordance with legislation, established standards, policies and exhibits sound professional judgment and initiative while working within the Mission, Vision and Strategic Directions and incorporates into daily practice the Core Competencies and Values of the organization.

About You

• Certification as a Shift Operator - 4th Class required.
• Travel to other sites may be required and must have access to a reliable vehicle.

Hours

Compensation And Benefits

$31.24 - $31.78 Hourly
