Job summary

Greenstone Mine in Canada is seeking a Shift Metallurgy Technician to join our mill team. You will collect, handle and process mill process samples, and support the Metallurgical Laboratory while reporting to the Senior Metallurgist.

You will uphold safety and environmental standards, perform metallurgical tests, and assist with various duties as required by the Metallurgical Superintendent. The site offers company transportation from multiple pick-up locations and a commitment to inclusiveness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or a combination of education and work-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure environmental compliance and safe plant functionality.

The Greenstone Mine commenced production in May 2024 and will be one of Canada's largest open-pit gold mines, with annual production expected to average nearly 400,000 ounces of gold per year for an initial 14-year mine life with additional potential from a large underground deposit. Greenstone Gold Mines LP is owned by Equinox Gold Corp, a Vancouver-based mining company with four operating mines in Canada, the United States, Mexico and Nicaragua.

Job Summary

We are seekinga Shift Metallurgy Technicianto join our team. Reporting to the Senior Metallurgist, the Shift Metallurgy Technician is responsible for collecting, handling, and processing mill process samples, as well as assisting the Mill Metallurgy team.

Key Responsibilities

• Exercise safe work practices as per mining regulations and established procedures.


• Work to ensure environmental compliance and the safe functionality of the plant.


• Collect, handle, and process mill plant samples.


• Perform metallurgical test work in the Metallurgical Laboratory.


• Undertake other duties as required by the Metallurgical Superintendent and Senior Metallurgist.

Certifications
