You will read drawings and specifications, operate fabrication equipment, and use hand and power tools while observing safety standards and LEAN practices.
You will collaborate with project teams to meet schedules and support shop and field installations.
Specialty Air Sheet Metal manufactures and installs HVAC systems for commercial and industrial facilities, using prefabrication and LEAN management to optimize fabrication performance. The company operates from a 17,000-square-foot shop with ergonomically designed workstations and advanced machinery capable of flat stamped, laser-cut, and plasma-cut steel in a wide range of sizes. Specialty Air provides design-build services for new construction and retrofits, focusing on long‑term, efficient solutions that reduce energy, operating and maintenance costs. The team leverages VDC tools such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) and state‑of‑the‑art CAM software to improve accuracy, quality and efficient on‑site installation. This is a full‑time, on‑site Sheet Metal Worker role located in Edmonton, AB. The Sheet Metal Worker will fabricate, assemble and install HVAC ductwork and related sheet metal components according to drawings, specifications and safety standards. Responsibilities include measuring and cutting sheet metal, operating fabrication equipment, using hand and power tools and performing layout work to support shop and field installation activities. The role involves working closely with project teams to meet production schedules, maintain quality standards and follow LEAN and safety procedures. The Sheet Metal Worker will also assist with material handling, equipment maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives in the shop and on job sites.
