Job summary

Rockwell Automation in Cambridge, Ontario is seeking a Sheet Metal Fabrication Operator to set up and run Prima Power equipment, brake presses, CNC shears, punches, copper benders and deburring tools. You will read blueprints, manage material flow with cranes and forklifts, perform inspections in SAP and FactoryTalk, and support lean initiatives, safety training, and continuous improvement.

This second-shift, full-time on-site role provides opportunities to grow with a global technology leader.

Qualifications

• Experience with sheet metal fabrication and reading blueprints.
• Ability to operate metal forming and finishing equipment safely.
• Familiarity with SAP and FactoryTalk for documentation and tracking.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sheet metal fabrication equipment (Prima Power, brakes, CNC shears, punches, copper benders, deburring).
• Interpret blueprints and work orders to form, finish, and inspect components to spec.
• Maintain material flow using cranes, hoists, lift trucks and automated handling; manage raw materials and scrap.
• Perform quality inspections, troubleshoot issues, and document activities in SAP/FactoryTalk.
• Support LEAN/Six Sigma initiatives, safety, and team development through training and production support.
