Job summary

A leading metal recycling company in Burlington is seeking a Shear Operator to operate and maintain equipment safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include monitoring equipment performance, performing maintenance, and ensuring production targets are met. Qualifications

• Previous experience with light general maintenance and preventative maintenance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective and efficient operation of the shear according to policies.
• Complete daily production reporting, including production reports.
• Perform preventive maintenance on the shear to minimize downtime.
• Record equipment deficiencies and submit documentation.
• Assist with material jams and perform general housekeeping.
