Job summary

Vantix Systems Inc. is seeking an IT content transfer specialist to support enterprise SharePoint environments and related ECM tools in Canada. You will collaborate with delivery teams to understand transfer requirements, develop scripts, and ensure accurate, secure content migrations.

The role requires hands-on experience with SharePoint 2016/365, PowerShell scripting, and a solid understanding of IT Change and Communications. Team collaboration and strong documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with complex SharePoint projects including managed metadata and workflows.
• Proficient in scripting with PowerShell.
• Experience with content transfer, mapping, transformation, loading and testing.
• Knowledge of IT Change and Communication Management.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.

Job description

This resource will have working knowledge and experience of IT infrastructure environments including general concepts of workstation/server hardware, and a general understanding of line-of-business applications and architectures. The resource must have a sound understanding of IT Change and Communication Management. A proven ability to function on an individual basis and in a team environment is essential. Resources awareness of existing GoA and department IT policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and practices is an asset.

Duties:

• Work collaboratively in a team environment to deliver services.
• Work with delivery teams and stakeholders, including business partners and GoA technical staff to understand detailed requirements of transfers, which could include: planning of timing; process confirmation; communication and coordination of script executions; etc.
• Participates in creating and prioritizing a backlog of work, estimates effort, and commits to scope of work for predictable completion of content transfers.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and training materials to support all aspects of the content transfer service.
• Guide business partners on technical aspects of ECM solutions and shared drives relating to requested transfers.
• Create and generating scripting, workflows, documents, logging, etc. to support content transfers.
• Migration of content which may include: Mapping, Transformation, Loading, and Testing of scripting or supporting application runs
• Copying files in secured way and confirming file integrity
• Other responsibilities as required or requested.

Experience with complex SharePoint projects including solutions depending on: managed metadata, workflows, forms, and user interface customization.

Experience with scripting tools, such as Powershell.

Experience with the development, integration, and support of Microsoft SharePoint 2016 and Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online.
