Job summary

The Safariland Group in Ontario is seeking an Assembler to operate a range of sewing machines to join parts of fabricated articles or garments in accordance with product instructions and customer specifications. You will perform sewing tasks on automated equipment and maintain quality and safety standards on the line.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of sewing or cutting experience is an asset.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operates a wide variety of sewing machines to join parts per instructions and specs.
• Sets up sewing machine with tools, stitches, needles and attachments to meet requirements.
• Performs banes such as top stitching and installing components; conducts inline quality checks.
• Maintains safety policies and adheres to NIJ-related specifications when applicable.
• Performs other duties as assigned and supports team on the line.
