Job summary

Adecco Canada is hiring for Machine Operators and Mechanical Assemblers in Pembroke, ON. The role is full-time and temporary, requiring hands-on assembly and sewing of PPE products with emphasis on safety and quality standards.

  • Prepare and assemble/sew quality PPE products per procedures.
  • Cut materials during production as required.
  • Drill, tap, or ream holes using drills.
  • Align components and secure parts with hand/power tools.
  • Test or assist with testing completed products for quality.
  • Assist junior operators with skilled production tasks.
  • Repair or adjust units not meeting specs.
  • Mount components onto chassis panels as applicable.
  • Perform inspections to ensure quality requirements.
  • Complete assemblies using microscopes or magnifiers when needed.

Job description

Adecco is currently hiring Machine Operators and Mechanical Assemblers for a full-time temporary opportunity in Pembroke, ON. This role is ideal for experienced manufacturing professionals with a background in mechanical assembly, sewing operations, and production environments who take pride in producing high-quality products while maintaining strong safety and quality standards.

In this position, you will assemble and/or sew personal protective products, operate production equipment, perform quality inspections, and support manufacturing operations to ensure products meet required specifications.

  • Pay Rate: $19.50/hour

  • Location: Pembroke, ON

  • Schedule: Full-time schedule with overtime available as required

  • Employment Type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Operate production line equipment and machinery requiring specialized training to assemble products, units, machines, equipment, and subassemblies.

  • Prepare and assemble and/or sew quality personal protective products according to established procedures and specifications.

  • Cut materials as required during the production process.

  • Drill, tap, or ream holes using drill presses or portable drilling equipment.

  • Align components and secure parts using hand tools or powered tools, including bolts, screws, or rivets.

  • Test or assist with testing completed products to ensure proper operation and quality standards.

  • Assist junior operators with skilled production functions and provide support when required.

  • Repair or adjust units that do not meet specifications.

  • Mount assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, onto chassis panels where applicable.

  • Perform inspections to ensure products meet quality requirements.

  • Complete assembly operations using microscopes or magnifying equipment when required.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of production or manufacturing experience.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of mechanical assembly and/or sewing experience.

  • Ability to understand and follow safety procedures and operate machinery safely.

  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards.

  • Ability to work overtime when required.

  • Experience working with hand tools, powered tools, or production equipment is considered an asset.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
