Role Description

This full-time, on-site Sewing Machine Operator role is based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. The Sewing Machine Operator is responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to assemble, stitch, and finish garments according to specifications and production schedules. Day-to-day tasks include setting up machines, selecting appropriate materials and threads, following patterns and work orders, and maintaining consistent stitching quality. The role also involves inspecting finished items for defects, performing basic machine maintenance, and coordinating with supervisors and team members to meet production targets and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Machine Operation skills and experience working with industrial sewing Machinery.
• Candidates should possess practical Quality Control skills, including inspecting seams, fit, and finishes against production standards.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in using Hand Tools commonly required in garment manufacturing (e.g., scissors, seam rippers, measuring tools).
• Candidates should possess clear Communication skills for coordinating with supervisors, coworkers, and production teams.
